What this questionnaire measures

The eight questions in this questionnaire don't choose what gets reviewed: the scope of your COMPASS diagnostic is always the same, all four full dimensions. What they do determine is how long it takes to cover it all, and that's decided by what your company is like on the inside, not the size of the decision in front of you.

That's why they ask how many people need to be interviewed, how many different ways of operating coexist under one roof, how many systems need to be inventoried, and above all how much of the operation is already written down versus living only in the head of whoever does it.

Neither your revenue nor your budget factor into this calculation: what it measures is how much work it takes to cover your operation, not the size of your company in dollars.
